For me, the most important part of the wedding was the ceremony so I did not take search for an officiant lightly. Even with all of my hopes and wishes, I could not have imagined a better service than the one that Jane delivered. It was simply perfection. The service was light when it needed to be light and deeply thoughtful when it needed to be that as well. I appreciated that she spoke with us and got to know us as a couple and it was so beautiful to hear her weave parts of our story into the ceremony. I cannot emphasize enough how blown away I was by what an excellent ceremony we had thanks to Jane. It was not just what she said (although the words she spoke were beautiful and impactful) it was also her energy and presence throughout the ceremony. I genuinely wouldn't change any bit of it and I can't thank Jane enough for being so incredible to work with and for being such an incredible officiant.

Pastor Jane was such a grounding and meaningful presence throughout our entire wedding process. Her ceremony was one of the most memorable and touching parts of the day. She took the time to truly get to know us and crafted a message that felt deeply personal and authentic. At our rehearsal, when we first arrived and were immediately surrounded by people wanting to say hello, I started walking toward her to greet her. But she gently observed the moment and noticed my mom eagerly waiting to hug and congratulate me. With calm and warmth, she said, “Go ahead hug your mom,” giving me the space to take in that special moment. On the day of the wedding, right before the ceremony, she had everyone take a deep breath , and I didn’t realize how much I needed that. Her calm, steady energy helped anchor us during such an emotional time.

She was able to speak those important words because she got to know us so well during our preparation video call. We were astonished by the things she elucidated from that relatively short time together. You can also tell Jane truly cares about the couples with whom she works. She's kept in contact with us since the wedding, and we can feel her genuine happiness and best wishes for us radiating from her. I think it is also worth mentioning that Jane was flexible and not the kind of person to be easily frazzled. We had some last minute changes, even ones that occurred during the ceremony, and Jane flowed right with it and made it look like it was the plan all along. We especially appreciated her flexibility in helping us include our young child in the ceremony. To be honest, I didn't first reach out to Jane because I wasn't sure I wanted a "fab" wedding, haha. We wanted an intimate, meaningful, heartfelt ceremony, and I wasn't sure if a business named "fab weddings" would be the right fit. But oh my goodness, I was so wrong. Our wedding was fabulously intimate, fabulously meaningful, and fabulously heartfelt. Although I'm sure if you want a good ol' fabulous wedding, she can do that too. Oh, and one more thing! We also weren't sure we wanted a pastor officiating our wedding, because we didn't want it to be religious. Jane was totally cool with that too. All in all, I simply cannot recommend Jane enough. She absolutely has found her calling and is using it to spread a lot of love and light.

With the assistance from her wonderful husband, she drove from WI to Des Plaines to host a small ceremony for my husband, his grandmother and I. I highly recommend hiring Jane to work with for your ceremony! Jane was amazing to work with! She was very considerate to mine and my husband scheduling times for working on rehearsals. We did zoom meetings because I live in Springfield but was getting married in Chicago. Jane was checking on my feelings about the wedding in general, not wanting me to be stressed or nervous which I appreciated. It was really important to have my ceremony in English and Spanish. Jane did a great job with both languages. My wedding was not in a church but I still wanted a religious experience in my wedding and Jane did a great job including religious elements into the ceremony.

After booking her, we spent a 1 hour zoom call together (at any point in the pre-wedding time, Pastor Jane's biggest thing was she never wanted to add stress or pressure to our wedding planning experience) where she asked us all sorts of questions about our love story, getting to know us, and what we wanted during the ceremony. She has a lot of sample readings she was able to share for us to choose from. Up until the wedding itself, she was so flexible in taking any tweaks or new things we wanted included. And the ceremony! Wow! You'd think she's known us forever! Her ceremony was the most complimented thing we heard all night - our guests LOVED HER!

Having Jane officiate our wedding was honestly the best part of our day. She came to my parents house the day before to rehearse, since the wedding location wasn't available the day before to practice.
